Privacy Notice

Effective date: September 27, 2026

Last updated: September 2026

I'm Antonio Montalvo. I run my consulting business as a sole proprietor under my own name. This notice explains what information I collect through amontalvo.com and in my consulting work, how I use it, and the choices and rights you have.

Contact: Antonio Montalvo, Woodstock, Connecticut. Email: antonio.montalvo@amontalvo.com.

What I collect

When you use my contact form. I collect what you type into the form:

  1. Your name and email address (required).
  2. The kind of project you're asking about and your message (required).
  3. If you choose to share them, your company, company size, industry, the challenge you're facing, a budget range, a timeline, and whether you're interested in ongoing support.

The form also has two simple spam checks. One is a hidden field you won't see. The other is an automatic record of how long the form was open. I use these only to screen out automated spam, and I don't keep them.

When you email me. I receive whatever you include in your email, along with your email address.

When you visit the site. Like any website, this one needs some basic technical information to deliver pages and keep the site secure. My hosting provider processes it automatically. It includes things like your IP address, browser type, the page you requested, and the time of the request. I don't use this information to identify you or to build a profile about you.

In short. Through the site, the categories of personal information I collect are contact details, business details, what you write to me, and basic technical information. I don't ask for sensitive information through the site.

What I don't do. I don't use analytics tools, advertising tools, or tracking pixels on this site, and I don't set cookies to track you. I don't buy information about you from anyone else.

If you become a client

If you hire me, I'll receive more information so I can do the work you ask for. What that is depends on the work. For a business, it's usually information about your tools, workflows, and accounts. For work in your personal or household life, it can include things like family calendars, appointments, contacts, and reminders.

Some of that information can be sensitive. Connecticut law treats health details and logins to financial accounts as sensitive data. A medical appointment on a family calendar is one example. I handle sensitive data only if you give me your separate written consent first. Even then, I handle it only as reasonably necessary for the work you asked for.

You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing me. If you do, I'll stop handling that information as soon as I can, and within 15 days. When a tool allows it, I work through access you grant and can take back, instead of using your passwords.

My Client Services Agreement explains how I handle, keep, and delete client information. The rights in this notice apply to client information too.

How I use it

I use the information I receive to:

  1. Read and reply to your inquiry.
  2. Send you an automatic email confirming I received your message.
  3. Talk with you about working together, prepare a proposal, and, if you become a client, provide my services.
  4. Keep ordinary business records, including records I need for tax and legal purposes.
  5. Protect the site from spam and misuse and meet my legal obligations.

I collect only what I reasonably need for these purposes. I don't use your information for a new purpose that isn't related to these without asking you first.

I don't sell your personal information. That means there are no categories of personal information I sell and no one I sell it to. I don't use it for targeted advertising. I don't use it for profiling or to make automated decisions about you.

I don't collect, use, or sell your personal information to train large language models.

Who helps me run the site and my business

I share information only with the service providers that help me run the site and my business, and only as needed for that work:

  1. Resend delivers contact form messages to my inbox and sends your confirmation email.
  2. Vercel hosts the website.
  3. Microsoft 365 stores my business email, where inquiries are kept.
  4. If you become a client, an electronic signature service handles our signed documents. I use other providers only as our agreement allows.

I may also share information if the law requires it, to protect my rights or someone's safety, or with a successor if my business is ever transferred. I'll never sell it.

How long I keep it

Contact form messages and emails stay in my business email as business correspondence. If an inquiry or a proposal doesn't lead to work, I keep it for up to 2 years and then delete it, sooner if you ask. If you become a client, my Client Services Agreement explains how I handle your information.

Either way, I keep records the law requires, or that I need for tax and legal purposes, longer. My service providers may keep delivery and security logs for a limited time under their own policies.

Your privacy rights

You can ask me to:

  1. Confirm whether I have personal information about you, and let you see it.
  2. Correct it if it's wrong.
  3. Delete it.
  4. Give you a copy in a format you can take elsewhere.
  5. Stop any sale of your information, targeted advertising, or profiling that leads to decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. I don't do any of these, but you can still ask, and I'll confirm it in writing.
  6. Give you a list of anyone I've sold your information to. I haven't sold it to anyone.
  7. Withdraw any consent you've given me, including consent to handle sensitive data.

How to make a request

Email antonio.montalvo@amontalvo.com with "Privacy request" in the subject line. You don't need an account.

Before I act on a request to see, correct, delete, or copy your information, I may ask for information reasonably needed to confirm it's really you.

I'll respond within 45 days. If I need more time, I'll tell you why within those 45 days, and I may take up to 45 more days. Requests are free, up to once in any 12 months.

Someone you authorize may make a request for you to stop a sale or targeted advertising. A parent or guardian may make requests for a child.

I honor these requests from anyone, wherever you live, and I won't treat you differently for making one.

How to appeal if I say no

If I decline your request, I'll tell you why and how to appeal. To appeal, reply to my decision, or email me with "Privacy appeal" in the subject line.

Within 60 days after I receive your appeal, I'll tell you in writing what I did or didn't do and why. If I deny your appeal, you can file a complaint with the Connecticut Attorney General using the online complaint form at portal.ct.gov/ag/common/complaint-form-landing-page (choose "Consumer Data Privacy").

Privacy signals

Some browsers send privacy signals, such as "Do Not Track." My site doesn't track visitors across websites, and I don't sell information or use it for targeted advertising, so there's nothing for these signals to switch off. I still treat any of these signals as a request to opt out, and the site works the same either way. I don't allow other companies to collect information about your activity across different websites through my site.

Please don't send sensitive information

Please don't send me passwords, account numbers, or health details through the contact form or by email. If our work needs them, we'll agree on a safe way to share them first.

Please also keep confidential employer, client, financial, or technical information and Social Security numbers out of the contact form and your first email. If you send sensitive information anyway, I'll use it only to reply to you, and I'll delete what our work doesn't need.

Emails from me

When you contact me, I'll reply to your inquiry and send an automatic confirmation. If I ever send newsletters or other promotional emails, every one will include a simple way to unsubscribe and my postal address. I'll honor unsubscribe requests promptly.

Children

My site is meant for adults and businesses. I don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 through the site. If you believe a child has sent me information, email me and I'll delete it. If client work involves your children's schedules or other details, I handle them only for that work, as my Client Services Agreement describes.

Security

I use reasonable safeguards to protect the information I receive. That includes encrypted connections to this site and multifactor sign-in on my business accounts. No website or email system is perfectly secure. If a security breach affects your personal information, I'll notify you as the law requires.

Changes to this notice

If I change this notice, I'll post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date. If a change is significant, I'll make that clear on this page.

If I make a significant change that affects information I've already collected, I'll tell the people affected directly, by email where I can. I'll also give them a reasonable chance to withdraw their consent first.
