Terms of Use

Effective date: September 27, 2026

These terms apply to your use of amontalvo.com. I'm Antonio Montalvo, a sole proprietor doing business under my own name in Woodstock, Connecticut, and I run this site. You can reach me at antonio.montalvo@amontalvo.com. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. What this site is

This site describes my consulting services and shares general information and examples of my work. Visiting the site or sending me a message doesn't make you a client. I work with clients only under a signed written agreement. If you hire me, that agreement governs our work.

2. General information, not professional advice

Everything on this site is general information. It isn't legal, accounting, tax, financial, investment, or other professional advice, and I'm not licensed in any of those fields. Please talk with a qualified professional about your own situation before you act on anything you read here.

3. No guarantees

I describe my services and past work honestly, but I don't promise any particular result. Examples and stories on this site may be generalized or anonymized to protect confidential business, client, and technical information. Your results will depend on your own situation. Service descriptions can change. A price or service becomes a commitment only when it's written into a signed agreement with me.

4. Using the site

Please use the site lawfully. Don't:

  1. Try to interfere with the site or its security, or get into parts of it you aren't meant to access.
  2. Send spam, harmful code, or automated messages through the contact form.
  3. Submit someone else's personal information without their permission.
  4. Copy the site's content for commercial use without my written permission.

5. What you send me

You're responsible for what you send through the contact form or by email. Please don't include confidential information that belongs to your employer or anyone else. I handle what you send as described in my Privacy Notice. Sending me a message doesn't create a confidentiality agreement or a client relationship.

6. My content

The text, images, video, logo, and design of this site belong to me or are used with permission, and they're protected by copyright and other laws. You may view the site and print or save pages for your own personal, noncommercial use. Any other use needs my written permission. Other companies' names and trademarks belong to their owners, and mentioning them doesn't mean they endorse me.

7. Links to other sites

The site may link to websites I don't control. I'm not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

8. The site is provided as is

I work to keep the site accurate and available, but I provide it "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, I make no warranties about the site, including warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. My total liability to you for any claim about the site is limited to $100. These limits don't apply to anything the law doesn't allow to be limited, and they don't change any written agreement you have with me as a client.

10. Governing law and where disputes are heard

Connecticut law governs these terms, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute about the site will be heard in the Connecticut Superior Court for the Judicial District of Windham or the federal court for the District of Connecticut, and you and I agree to those courts. Either of us may use small claims court where the law allows. If you live outside Connecticut, these terms don't take away any protections under your home state's law that can't be waived by agreement.

11. Changes and other terms

I may update these terms by posting a new version here with a new effective date. If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If I don't enforce a term, only partly enforce it, or wait to enforce it, I haven't waived it, and I can still enforce it later.
